Alternative Media Conference, Goddard College 1970

For those of you interested in cultural sociology and the weird and true history of how so – called “alternative” media evolved coming out of the 60s, the link below tells the story of the Alternative Media Conference that took place in Vermont at Goddard College in 1970. It’s all true and from this vantage point, looks nothing short of unbelievable and made up…but it isn’t. I attended this after working at Woodstock and while living in the Bay Area. It was a time when the media people I knew were committed to finding new ways of communicating.
